SLAPSHOT is a physical competition where the ice rink is the playing field, and some of the NHL's biggest players, from past and present, star alongside regular contestants for the chance to win them big bucks.
While the NHL pros are used to skating around the rink at high speed, the challenges they face on this show will definitely be more slapstick than serious as our hockey players take off their helmets to reveal a fun side to themselves!
All players—both contestants and professionals—will wear regular sneakers, ensuring the slippery surface serves up lots of safe yet epic and memorable falls and fails. Knee pads elbow pads and regular helmets will be part of their uniform, but their dignity will be left in the locker room in this comedic game where we prove that everything is more difficult on ice. . . even just standing still!
